Blokes in the Garden

Fridays 10.30am to 12.30pm

Do you have spare time on your hands, are you new to the area, have you retired and looking for ways to keep active. Warragul’s Community Garden at Eastern Park is looking for you. There are many opportunities to be involved, learn new skills or share skills you have with others. Meet up with other Blokes and get things done at the Garden. There are plenty of projects to be tackled, from skilled jobs to general but equally important gardening jobs. Meet new people and make new friends in a friendly and productive community space. All Blokes are welcome, come for as little or as long as you like, tools provided and there’s ample tea and coffee available.

By offering a particular program for men to come together, make friends and engage in active garden projects and activities we hope to provide a popular and regular meeting space for local men looking to connect.
Community connections are important for men of all ages, access to spaces that provide opportunities for men to connect improve mental health outcomes and promote healthy lifestyles. We see Eastern Park Community garden as a superbly suitable space for this ‘Blokes in the Garden’ program.
